Denny Litos has been part of the local medical community for the past 25 years. He started off at Clinton Memorial, made his way through the former Lansing General Hospital, and finally landed at Ingham Regional Medical Center in 1994. For the past 12 years he has worked as President and C.E.O. of IRMC, but on Thursday morning he announced his resignation.

"It's always difficult to make these decisions. But there are times when you make decisions that are best for you and your family. For me there's the opportunity for growth and development. This will be my second role as a president and C.E.O., and I'll probably finish out my career at this job."

During his time at IRMC, Litos has worked on providing more clinics to people in the area. He's been instrumental in the Women and Children's Center, the Regional Orthopedic Hospital, and the Chi Heart and Surgery Tower, which is currently under construction.

Litos will continue working at the hospital for the next few weeks. He's scheduled to begin his new job as President and C.E.O. of Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, CA this summer.
