A warning for parents looking to make their child a star, you could be getting ripped off in the process.
State Attorney General Mike Cox says talent agencies are scamming parents, by enticing them with offers of free evaluations for their kids. He specifically names "Aquarian Associates" as one.
Cox says the agencies are duping parents into shelling out lots of money for practically nothing in return.
A few tips so you do not get scammed; research a company's background. Never pay large fees up front. Your child does not typically need a large and expensive photo package to become a model. Finally, get the agreement in writing.
