Eaton County Sheriff's deputies search the Grand River Thursday for evidence, or perhaps more human remains related to the discovery of a human skull.
They say it is no doubt the bones found Wednesday evening are human. They found several bone fragments as well.
They pursue more evidence with a dive team, a ground search team, and cadaver dogs. They do leave with bags of evidence, though they won't say what is inside.
Eaton County says they are looking to see if this skull matches other remains found last year, identified as part of Leon Lockwood, an East Lansing man who went missing from Charlotte.
Ingham County has also forwarded two names to the pathologist and anthropologist now on the case: Phuong Tran, who was decapitated in Ingham County, and Raymond Smith, missing from Ingham County.
