When many people think of therapy they envision two people discussing a person's problems. But when it comes to music therapy, that's not the case. Rebecca West is a student majoring in music therapy at Michigan State University. And when she works with her clients she does something completely different.

Many participants in music therapy have special needs like mental illness, developmental disabilities, or autism. But according to Cindy Edgerton of the MSU Community School's Music Therapy Clinical Services, the program often gives a voice to those who are unable to communicate through speech.
