A pay raise is on the way for a lot of Michigan workers.
Michigan's minimum wage is getting a boost, and Tuesday, Governor Jennifer Granholm will make it official.
The governor is expected to sign the increase into law Tuesday morning, raising the state's minimum wage from five-fifteen an hour to six-ninety-five.
The wage hike takes effect in October.
The new law calls for the wage to jump up again to seven-forty an hour in July of 2008.
