A light snowfall looks to have led to several accidents on mid-Michigan highways this morning. A serious rollover accident shut down the westbound lanes of I-69 near Chandler Road in southern Clinton County. The lanes were re-opened at approximately 10:30a.m. No word on the extent of the injuries in that accident.
There were at least two other rollover accidents in that area during the morning commute that have since been cleared. One person was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
The Clinton County dispatch center says Michigan Department of Transportation salt trucks were sent to I-96 near Grand River Avenue area northwest of Lansing to combat icy road conditions there as well.
