Tempers were often short during Day 10 of the hearing. Attorneys and even the judge exchanged sometimes harsh words as they questioned Det. Sgt. Roy Holliday, the lead investigator in the case from the Ingham County Sheriff's department.

At one point in the hearing, Lisa Holland's defense attorney accused Mike Ferency of objecting to evidence because it hurt his theory of the case.

"A blame-shifting liar helps my theory," prosecuting attorney Mike Ferency retorted, speaking of Lisa Holland.

In another tense moment, the judge instructed the attorneys to take a break.

"I don't need to be in a fight with you, counsel," Judge Rosemarie Aquilina told Andrew Abood.

Abood fired back later during an exchange over a question.

"We have a right to a defense. A defense is [Tim] did it, or someone else did it!" Abood said.
