A spokesperson for the Michigan Nurses Association (MNA) says an estimated $418,000 is unaccounted for and authorities are investigating when the money was taken.
During the organization’s annual audit documents came up missing, triggering concern and an investigation.
A spokesperson for the MNA says the association’s long time bookkeeper obtained a lawyer and is currently in discussions with the Meridian Township Police.
No formal charges have been filed against the 18-year employee.
