Working To Restore Power

A utility says crews are working 16-hour shifts around the clock to restore power after thunderstorms and high winds swept through southeast Michigan.
Detroit-based DTE Energy Co. says Monday morning that about 11,000 of its customers remain without power after storms starting Friday afternoon affected about 145,000 homes and business. The storms knocked down hundreds of overhead lines and trees.
DTE says its remaining outages include about 5,000 in Oakland County, 4,000 in Wayne County and 2,000 in Macomb County. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
