More math and science is in the cards for Michigan high school students. This comes after the state Senate approved new high school graduation requirements Thursday.
It would take effect with the class of 2011 and places a heavy emphasis on math, science, English, and social studies. Some differences between the House and Senate versions must be worked out before Gov. Granholm signs it.
The main sticking point is a foreign language requirement in the Senate Bill.
