MASON - It might look more like a scene from the movies, but video of a recent car chase and crash released by the Ingham County Sheriff's Office is for real. The video is from a dashboard camera of a deputy's patrol vehicle in pursuit of a woman who refused to pull over in Delhi Township Tuesday afternoon.

The deputy was attempting to stop the driver, who they say was observed driving erratically. The driver fled. Authorities say the driver was driving at over 90 miles-per-hour at times on Aurelius Road. The driver crossed into on-coming traffic that was stopped for a red light at Jolly Road and Aurelius Road, and then left the roadway, hitting an electrical pole and a tree. The car then rolled over and came to a rest.

The driver, a 44-year-old woman from Lansing, had to be pulled from the car and taken to the hospital. Her injuries are serious, but not life-threatening.

Investigators do not know why she fled from police. She is expected to be charged with felony fleeing and eluding charges.
