The latest report from UN weapons inspectors has done nothing to ease the sharp divisions in the Security Council.
The U.S. and Britain want to go ahead with a resolution that could lead to war with Iraq -- if Saddam Hussein doesn't comply with UN demands by March 17.
Other Security Council members are rejecting that idea. France says the deadline would simply be a ''pretext for war.''
The French foreign minister told the Security Council it can't support that step -- at a time when UN weapons inspectors are reporting cooperation.
