Death of MSU Student Found on Interstate 69 Being Investigated as Homicide

An Owosso teen was found Saturday night, lying in the roadway on Interstate 69 at the East Lansing exit.

Police say 19-year-old Dustyn Louis Frolka was in "respiratory distress" when they arrived on the scene.

Frolka's body was partially clothed. It was reported at 10:23 p.m.

A passing motorist, who happened to be a nurse, stopped to give first aid until EMS arrived. Frolka was taken to a Lansing hospital where he was pronounced dead.

MSU's Student Directory lists Frolka as a Sophomore who was studying Marketing.

Bath Township police say they're treating Frolka's death as a homicide until detectives learn otherwise.
