Republican Candidate for State Senator, attorney Vince Green may be an underdog in this election. But he's hoping his door to door campaign will help him score more votes for Tuesday.
"I think it's important that we have direct contact with voters and let them know our message."
Even though State Represenative Gretchen Whitmer is the favorite to win, she's still hitting the ground running too.
"I'm not taking anything for granted. We're out here knocking on doors and meeting as many people as we can."
Both candidates are running for the State Senate seat left open when Virg Bernero became Lansing's mayor a few months ago. They say they will continue campaigning hard until the final hours.
The special election is scheduled for Tuesday, March 14th.
