DETROIT (AP) -- Chrysler LLC is offering zero-percent financing and other deals on its 2008 Dodge Ram pickups as it prepares to bring out a new Ram this fall.
Chrysler said Thursday that buyers can choose three options: Zero-percent financing for 72 months, bonus cash of up to $6,000 or a three-year gas card that keeps gas prices at $2.99 per gallon. The offers run through July.
U.S. pickup sales have plunged in the last few months as consumers seek more fuel-efficient options. Ram sales were down 31 percent in the first six months of this year.
Chrysler already had the highest incentives of any automaker in June, at $3,427 per vehicle, according to the automotive information site Edmunds.com. The company's sales were down 22 percent in the first six months of the year.

So bussiness is not very good for car companies,First they got sick of unions bleeding them with higher wages ect. They wanted more profit. Then they started letting people go,buyouts and down sizeing.Well thoes people working for them were their best customers.Sure working for the company did get you a discount but more cars, trucks were bought. Then when overseas people started making better gas millage autos, our USA ones keep making the big ones. Then gas prices started going up.Still they made the big stuff. Now bussiness is bad. Many americans choose to pay bills, eat and try to make their old autos last.Giving bussiness to other countries supported them well as car companines gave there orders to them.Jobs left here turning their backs on the USA people.I don't feel sorry for the auto compainies, just the many who lost their jobs and are out of work ect.Greed is amoung to many people and it will bring the usa down.Run cars on water and get over the greed.Save the usa and not destroy it.

How many sale pitches are out there.Bussiness not getting enough people to buy products. So many jobs were lost.Layoffs all through the car companies.Thoes related to them as well.As much as I'd like to have a new truck or SUV there is no way. Can't afford at this time.To many things have went up in prices.Gas will go alot higher. They will have to depend on the overseas buyers like GM is doing.WE let way to many companies go there.Supporting there countries, some even communist. As we buy oil from countries making them richer with more power.I see it is now backfireing on american families. Some with oil on their lands here are becomming very well off.Just think how much taxes the new oil people ARE PAYING THE GOVERNMENT IN THE GOOD OLD USA.While many have hit rock bottom and lost so much.Where are thoes taxes going? Are they helping raise food stamp cards?Helping supply food banks?Saving homes?Raiseing proverty level amounts to get more help for people?PROBABLY NOT!Funding wars?maybe?
