Rare Disorder on Weight Loss

Imagine how devastating it would be if you worked out several times a week and watched what you ate and still jumped up multiple sizes. A rare disorder that's affects 10 to 15 people out of millions and it's almost impossible to diagnose.

Cushing's Syndrome is a rare disorder. It's caused by a tumor on the pituitary gland, which manages all the body's hormones. Symptoms of the syndrome mimic other common conditions, which is why it is hard to diagnose.

A physician seeing a patient with Cushing's may see hypertension, diabetes and treat the problem, but never really get to the root cause. And so the disease progresses.

Cushing's can be fatal, but surgery to remove the tumor can help and symptoms start to disappear. Cushing's is one of several disorders that can result from pituitary tumors.
