House Fire in Delhi Township

10 foot flames shot in the air, as multiple fire departments responded to a house fire in Delhi Township. Firefighters from Onondaga, Mason, and Delhi Township all fought the fire on the 900 block of N. Eifert Road.

Firefighters say the house will be a total loss. Three residents are all safe and out of the residence, although one adult had to be removed from the home. He was in the residence at the time of the fire, and closed the door and refused entry to an Ingham County Sheriff's deputy. He was trying to locate one of his dogs and was removed from the home without injury.

Three dogs were in the home, two were rescued, the other one is thought to have been lost.


Delhi Township - Fire crews are battling a house fire in southern Delhi Township Tuesday afternoon. Fire crews were dispatched to a home in the 900 block of N. Eifert Road at about 1:10 p.m. with heavy, billowing smoke coming from an attached garage. Crews have been on the scene for over an hour now, and have requested help from outside agencies. No word yet on the cause of the fire or how severe the damage is. News 10 has a crew at the scene. Watch News 10 tonight for an update.
