DETROIT (AP) -- Authorities say a one-year-old girl is in the hospital after being shot in the face in a Detroit home.
Detroit police spokeswoman Kelly Miner says someone outside fired shots into the northeast side home late Friday that struck the child. Miner says police have no description of the suspect or a vehicle but are investigating.
The girl, struck in the left cheek, is listed in temporary-serious condition.
Police say a house party was going on at the time of the shooting, which came during an escalating neighborhood dispute.
Detroit police are investigating several recent shootings. Two men and a woman were killed in an early Friday shooting at a west side home, and three people were killed and six wounded Wednesday in the gambling room of a Detroit barbershop.
