Snow on Saturday left four inches on the ground in mid-Michigan. Area roads were dangerous during the night. County road commissions spent the better part of the evening and morning clearing the roads. But the blizzard that many had prepared for didn't happen.
That was okay by many Mid-Michigan residents. Families in Lansing Township spent much of the day sledding. Snow on the ground didn't stay on the hill too long. Wind and sledding swept much of it away.
Kids favored blow-up tube sleds. And parents said that, at the end of February, this might be one of the last weekends of good sledding left this winter. And they say they were glad there was time to spend with their families.
