Teen Accused of using Gun to Rob Phones on School Bleachers

DELHI TWP, INGHAM CO. - A 16-year-old has been arrested, accused of using a gun to rob 5 people on the grounds of the Holt Junior High School. The robbery happened Sunday, October 20th. Sheriff's deputies were called to Holt Junior High School for a report of an armed robbery that took place on the bleachers of the football field. Five people said a male asked to use a cell phone. One of the five produced a phone, and that is when they say the male pulled out a handgun and ordered them all to hand over their phones. The victims say the young man stole two phones and fled the area. No one was hurt.

Deputies investigated through the week and on October 25th, they arrested a 16-year-old male, and accused him of the crime. The teen is charged with armed robbery and assault with intent to rob while armed. He is being held at the Ingham County Youth Home while he awaits his next court appearance.
