Now THAT is awesome. Walmart may have some questionable ethics when it comes to treatment of their employees and their support of outsourcing, but KUDOS to them for their support of local community!!! What a great story!!
To add to this story. A small community, Dowagiac, in Cass County who has had several years tradtion of fireworks, is no longer able to hold a fireworks show. Michigan's budget is in dire need of assistance. This is just a symptom of the big problem.
There we go again, that word,CHINA.How much we buy from them.Where so many of our jobs went.Where recalls of products come from.It don't matter to me if we have fireworks or not.Not nessary at all just a costly celebration of too much money being spent. If cities can't afford to, due to tight budgets,I rather see the money go into other things.Lite a fire works,it's gone and the money you paid to get a few seconds of whatever.Donnations are needed in other things like food banks and charities to give where needed. We all must think what is more important,as times get harder.China has there problems like everyone else.Sure they will raise there prices even though they pay cheap wages for many. But when the day comes that is one of the only places to buy what is needed by other countries,as well as the USA?then what? The day will come when we are so sorry for buying so much MADE IN CHINA.WE are supporting a communist country and even allowing our american jobs there to get way to much profit.
