Two teens, 14 and 15-years-old, led Lansing police on a car chase in a stolen vehicle Saturday night.
Officer Lomakofki took a police report of a stolen vehicle Friday night. While on duty Saturday, Lomakofki saw the stolen car near Cedar St around 9 pm.
Officer Lomakofki signaled for the driver to pull over, but instead led police on a brief chase beginning at Baker St near Cedar St. The pursuit lasted about two minutes, reaching speeds between 30 and 50 mph.
The chase ended when the teens bailed from the moving car and took off on foot. The unoccupied car went off the road and into the bushes near the 600 block of Hamilton Ave.
The teens are in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
