"It's exciting and that’s the word we have to have to get out because we hear so much negativism," says Joe Drollett, Delta Township's supervisor, who's watching it all the growth in his township with eager eyes.

"Come August, there will be 5400 jobs that weren't there a year ago."

Already, at GM's plant, they're hired about half of the 2,970 person workforce they will have. Those inside will begin Monday, rolling vehicles off the line. It's called a "slow build" to test for safety and use the tools of their new plant.

As for the 5 new supplier plants in the area, the roofs are up, the enclosures are in, and the buildings are built. They all have goals to be finished by spring.

It's been $1 billion and $135 million in new development in total.
