A night out turns ugly for dozens of diners in Delta Township over the weekend.
According to the Barry-Eaton District Health Department, at least 57 patrons of Carrabba's Italian Grill on West Saginaw Highway are reporting stomach flu like symptoms.
It may have been a sick employee or patron who spread the illness, but there's no official cause for the illness yet as tests are still being conducted on food samples and cultures from people.
The Health Department is investigating the outbreak. All food prepared on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday has been thrown away, the restaurant has been sanitized, and Carrabba's Executive Vice President promises full cooperation for anything that may need to be done in the future.
The restaurant is open for business and the Health Department stresses the outbreak is not ongoing.
