Officials say Lisa and Tim Holland have each given statements implicating the other in the murder of Ricky the evening of July 1, 2005.
Both were charged with obstruction of justice while forensic specialists determine what the evidence says.
The typical bond would have been $5,000, but because each are material witnesses in a murder investigation, the judge ordered $1 million bond by special writ.
Lisa Holland's attorney, Andrew Abood, says the evidence will prove she's innocent.
Tim Holland's attorney, Dennis Hirst, was not in court.
The sheriff's office expects an autopsy on remains found at the intersection of Ewers and Williamston Roads in Bunker Hill Township. They believe the body found in Ricky's.
Det. Sgt. Roy Holliday says the Hollands' stories are different enough that determining cause of death will help them prove which parent killed Ricky.
The four other Holland children are with a relative.
