A man was found dead in a dumpster in Jackson Monday morning. Police have not yet identified the victim and there is no apparent cause of death.
The body was found in a dumpster behind a Kentucky Friend Chicken restaurant on West Avenue in Jackson.
Investigators say a waste services employee who was there to empty the dumpster discovered the body. At this time there is no apparent cause of death and it is unclear if the victim was possibly homeless and succumbed to extreme cold last night.
