Some people get angry over the littlest of things, well some Neuroscientists say it could be because of a missing gene that affects the brain.
Scientists have identified a new gene called Pet-1, influenced behavior through the development of a certain kind of nerve cell in the unborn brain. The cells produce the chemical Serotonin, which acts as a chemical messenger.
Researchers specially bred mice without the gene and counted the Serotonin producing nerve cells or neurons in their brains. The mice with less Serotonin neurons were anxious and the mice without the gene and less Serotonin became aggressive.
