A woman who worked as a housekeeper has been arrested and accused of stealing prescription medication from her clients and replacing it with over-the-counter drugs.
Traverse City police said the 54-year-old woman faces home invasion and larceny charges. She was working as a subcontractor cleaning houses when she stole the narcotic medication and replaced it with over-the-counter pain medication to avoid suspicion.
She was arrested on Friday after returning to a client's home on a day she was not scheduled to clean and stealing medication, police said.
