The state budget for the fiscal year that ended in September has a 318 million dollar surplus.
State director Mary Lannoye says the general fund had an extra 220 million and the School Aid Fund had a 98 million dollar surplus.
Lannoye says most of the general fund surplus is due to one-time revenue increases that won't be available in the current budget year. She said much of the funding will cover recently enacted business tax cuts.
State economists are scheduled to meet next week to set officials revenue projections for the 2006-2007 fiscal year.
