A bill in the US House of Representatives is drawing the concern of the United Auto Workers who claim that it may freeze the pensions of many Americans.
The UAW says The Pension Protection Act could freeze the pension credits for many -- foregoing the retirement promises many business make to workers. The UAW also believes the bill would interfere with its ability to negotiate benefits to keep pace with inflation.
Supporters of the legislation say the bill would only make business more accountable for their pensions and that freezing pensions is out of the question.
The UAW asks those against to call 1-888-355-3588.
Meantime, those in favor of the bill point to the below website as the validation for the legislation.
