Riddle Middle School in Lansing received a state grant of $800,000 to add 300 laptop computers for every teacher and student in the school.

The staff says the computers will help promote information literacy and the importance of the Internet as a research tool. Each student will be able to bring their computers home.

As a visual performing arts school, the idea is to get the creative juices flowing. Three hundred computers are on the way and should be there in a couple of weeks.

Students say the presence of more computers will make school more fun. They say they are already excited about the chance to take them home.
