Michigan State will soon be sending students to Antarctica, the coldest, driest and most remote continent in the world.

The fisheries and wildlife study abroad program was approved Monday in East Lansing. The 22-day program will start in December, during the school's winter break.

The program gives Michigan State study abroad programs on all seven continents, for the first time in university history.

Michigan State already has 183 programs in 57 countries.
