A lot of cash will be waiting for seniors when they graduate from KPS. Thanks to several anonymous donors, any student who graduates high school will have college tuition money waiting for them.
It's called the "Kalamazoo Promise," and it goes into effect next year.
To be eligible for the money, graduating seniors must have spent at least four years in the Kalamazoo public school district.
Students who have spent their entire K-12 education in Kalamazoo will have 100 percent of their in-state tuition covered.
The scholarship money can be used for any public college or university in Michigan.
