A 61-year-old Haslett man is dead from injuries he got aboard a scooter last week.

Meridian Township police say Friday evening, Robert Johnson was riding a motorized scooter on Haslett Road when he lost control and ran off the road.

He was taken to a local hospital and died Sunday.

Investigators say he was not wearing a helmet when he crashed.
