Police say an abducted woman's desperate 911 pleas led her rescue after she'd been taken to an Ypsilanti Township home and bound with duct tape.
Police rescued the 25-year-old woman on Monday. She tells police she'd been at an Ann Arbor shopping center the previous evening when she was punched in the face by a man she'd recently met, then abducted by he and another woman.
Detroit TV reports say the woman told police her hands and legs were tied, but she was able to knock over a phone and call for help.
At one point she whispers to the 911 operator, "I need help," then expresses concern that her abductors might hear her and considers hanging up.
Responding deputies shot and killed an attacking pit bull.
Police say a 35-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested.
