Michigan State Police tell News 10 that a Brighton man is accused in the murder of 63-year-old Bernard George Koziel. That suspect is not being identified yet.
Police are also revealing more of what happened the night Bernard Koziel was found dead. They report that a trooper was responded to a missing person call at Kozeil's home on West Howe Road in Dewitt. The trooper located Kozeil's body outside the residence. The cause of death has been determined to be blunt foce trauma with an unknown weapon.
Clinton County Sheriff's Department deputies were able to assist the investigation by providing information on a vehicle that lead investigators to suspect the Brighton man's involvement. The suspect and the vehicle were located in indianapolis within 19 hours of the initial call.
The suspect is still being held in indianapolis, while extradiction is being arranged.
