A fire that started in a High School student's locker on Thursday at 5:45 p.m. led school officials to close school at Potterville High School and Middle School.

Superintendent Bill Eis says the smoke traveled through the school's ventilation system. Eis says the student who uses the locker is not being investigated as the culprit.

The building is currently clear of all smoke. The cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Potterville Benton Township Fire Department.
