Update: Vandercook Lockdown Due To A Hoax

Vandercook Lake High School went onto a "soft" lockdown around 9:30 a.m. this morning due to an unspecificed threat.
The lockdown was lifted about an hour later.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office isn't yet saying what happened, although we're told the threat was a hoax.
The superintendent's office says a large group of students was stopped outside the high school, but were later let in.
No guns were seen, and no one was hurt.

as a parent of children at this school i want you to know information you were given is wrong. school was put into a hard lockdown and they had all children report to school at normal time. parents were not notified until about 10:30 what was going on. this is not the first time a threat has been made and they still had children report to school, and later let us know what was happening.

so mad at society... a child should never be afraid at school and feel the need to call their parents to say i love you, while they wait to see what happens. there needs to be an armed guard in every school in america
