Michigan Princess Riverboat Stranded With Seniors Aboard

Its owners say the stop was just procedure. They set off for a lunchtime cruise about 11:30 a.m., only to realize minutes later they were low on oil, and the oil gauge that would tell them that was broken.

They pulled over along Moores River Drive. The first mate jumped out and anchored them, and then they sat for four hours.

It's been less than a week since a tour boat full of senior citizens from Michigan capsized in Lake George in New York. Friday, the passengers were also senior citizens, also on a daytime tour. That is where the similarities end though. The owners of the boat emphasize it was safe throughout this stop.

Passengers onboard say they had fun with the extra time on the boat.
