GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (AP) -- A Comstock Park teacher facing charges of fleeing police and drunken driving has been ordered to stay away from a 15-year-old student whose mother claims was being stalked.
The Grand Rapids Press reports a Kent County judge recently approved a personal protection order requiring 37-year-old James Idziak to stay away. The newspaper didn't identify the boy or his mother.
Authorities say they're investigating whether the middle and high school social studies teacher provided alcohol to minors.
A message seeking comment was left Saturday by The Associated Press for Idziak's attorney, Jeffrey O'Hara.
Idziak was suspended with pay after being arrested April 20 following a chase authorities say reached 80 mph. He waived his preliminary hearing May 1.
