LANSING - A Lansing man is accused of ramming a police car and driving away. Lansing Police arrested Daniel Dario Trevino, 40, just before 4 o'clock in the morning on New Year's Day. They say a patrol officer observed the car he was driving along north Grand River Avenue in Lansing and noticed there was severe damage to the vehicle's body. They observed a missing rear bumper and the driver and passenger side panels were damaged. The patrol officer attempted to make a traffic stop, but the car continued to travel for several blocks before coming to a stop. Police say that when the patrol officer got out of his car to approach Trevino's vehicle, Trevino backed up, ramming the officer's car, and then sped away forward. The officer got back in his car and pursued for two blocks before Trevino came to a stop in the 4000 block of north Grand River Ave. He was arrested. Police say Trevino refused a breathalizer test.
He was arraigned Wednesday on charges of fleeing a police officer, assault with a dangerous weapon and operating a vehicle while impaired.
The officer was not injured.
Trevino is the owner of Hydro World, a former medical marijuana dispensary that now specializes in hydroponic growing equipment and instruction.

@Jessica S- Are you defending Trevino, saying that it's a "Lame incident"? If you are, why do you think it's ok to intentionally back into a vehicle, then take off? If you aren't, then my apology, but by saying that he was arrested for such a lame incident sounds like you are saying that the police go out looking for him. If they came across his car with fresh looking damage on a morning that's famous for intoxicated driving, why WOULDN'T they stop it?

I do not personally know this man, nor do I even smoke marijuana. But I do find it very convenient that the one man who has received the most media attention since MM laws changed, and is challenging them constantly, is arrested in such a lame sounding incident.

Trevino is a money grubbing lowlife. He is the one who gives the medical marijuana community a bad name. He has continualy tried to take advantage of the MM laws, and make money off the backs of the sick. And this shows the kind of person he really is.

Great, this is not what we needed shown on the medicdal marijuana community in Michigan. I love how they just had to throw that in there. I am an MMJ patient & do not support Danny Trevino or his grow shopps. He is a bad spot light on our community.
