The nurses strike at Ingham Regional Medical Center is headed towards day eight and at least two people close to negotiations say not much has changed from day one.
The Hospital reportedly tried to settle the contract offering to resolve contentious staffing issues at a later date through a special committee.
Staffing has been one of the main concerns as nurses often sight too many patients per care-giver. Calling that a safety issue.
The nurses rejected the hospital's proposal, and gave the hospital a counter proposal. That second offer was later rejected by Ingham.
It's unclear when the two sides will meet next.
