Rocky Twyman says nothing else has worked, so he's urging motorists to pray for lower gasoline prices when they fuel up.
Twyman says he and his fellow volunteers at a church soup kitchen launched "Pray at the Pump" today at a gas station in Washington D.C.
After fueling up their cars, Twyman says they bowed their heads and asked God for cheaper gas.
There was no immediate answer, but he says other motorists joined in and the service station owner didn't run them off.
Twyman says that if God brought down the walls of Jericho when the ancient Hebrews prayed, then divine intervention can bring down gas prices too.

In Poland we pay almost $8/gallon, where the average pay is about $1100. So, again, what was the problem?

"Oil is the excrement of the devil" according to OPEC leaders. In other words it is a renewable resource. A large war will therefore decrease demand and INCREASE SUPPLY. Do you realize what you are praying for?

Since Rocky Twyman's Prayer at the Pump has aired. The gas prices have stabilized. Everyone keep praying. I have been since I heard about Rocky's mission and will continue to spread the word and pray. God will help we just have to lean on him.

This is outrageous! Ppl of America, please start changing your way of using energy! Don't pray for lower oil prices, lower your consumtion... an average American uses 20 times more fossile energy than an average European! You have to change the way you life, American friends! Prayer does work for those who believe, but like everything in life-NOTHING is perfect!! Like it was said before be greatful for what you have. Oh no one asks for judgement on who prays to what God. And yes that is the beauty of being in America!

Your praying to the wrong god, ov which there are many. If your christian god doesn't work try Odin, Thor, Enki, Osiris, or even Baphomet!

Let's spend our prayer time asking God to bless people who don't have all the great things we have in America, such as food, healthcare, and CARS. Let's ask God for ways we can use all the things we DO have to bless other people in the world, rather than asking for more more more. This is not a "walls of Jerico" situation. This is a situation where we need to be more cautious with our resources, and look outside our own needs. I think Jesus used to say some stuff about thinking outside our own needs....

Try riding a bike, and stop destroying the environment with car emissions. Or, better yet, stop voting for oil men for President.

This is great! I wish more people would feel this way!
