A Jackson County woman and her boyfriend are suspects in the beating death of the woman's young son.
Four-year-old Lemaraquis Hereford was pronounced dead Thursday. Doctors say he suffered severe internal injuries.
Investigators say the boyfriend had assaulted the child earlier in the week. The mother, 29-year-old Lachante Mobeley and her boyfriend, 28-year-old Anwar Benin, both face open murder and child abuse charges.
