A Grand Ledge daycare is accused of putting children at risk.
Michigan's Department of Environmental Quality and Attorney General's Office filed a lawsuit Thursday against Deborah Howland. She owns the Kids University Child Care Center.
The lawsuit cites violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act.
Kids University has been closed for a year after failing a 2005 e-coli test of their drinking water.
The suit seeks civil damages, and the suspension of Howland's license.
