General Motors' opened its doors Wednesday to show the media around its new paint shop.
There’s already about 150 employees staffed in the building. They were brought out about six weeks ago to work with construction crews, set the lines up and to make sure the robots are working properly. The robots will paint the vehicles. They're already up and running to work out the kinks before scrap vehicles are brought in for practice.
Construction on the other buildings is moving along on schedule. The body shop will be the next building completed with the General Assembly Building following after.
