Gasoline prices in Michigan are up dramatically this week.
AAA Michigan says a gallon of self-serve unleaded costs about a $1.51 this week, up almost 15 cents from last week. That's almost 35 cents a gallon higher than a year ago at this time.
In the Detroit area, the same gallon averages a $1.45, up more than 12 cents from last week. That's about 32 cents higher than a year ago at this time.
The Dearborn auto club surveys 300 stations around Michigan for its weekly report.
