Citizens accused the Ingham County Road Commissioners of violating the open meetings act. Those accusations are again coming out over another road proposal.
The opening meetings act is supposed to allow proper input from citizens on governmental issues, and The Northtown Neighborhood Association is saying Ingham violated the act.
They say one commissioner made a decision over a proposal to shut Wood Street down to large trucks in Lansing and Lansing Township.
Claiming he planed on starting a trial plan without proper resident feedback.
No action has been taken and therefore no violation occured say supporters of the commissioners.
The state supreme court ruled that the commissioners did take the proper steps in the okemos road project.
