Post office window clerks are protesting a secret shopper program asking a set amount of questions which, if workers fail to ask them, could be reprimanded or even dismissed.
The post office wants window clerks to also suggest additional items for purchase, offer special services and discuss payment by credit card.
The union says mystery shoppers are visiting the post offices to see if clerks are following the requirements and reporting those who are not.
Union leaders say the program is another way the post office is eliminating positions.
