A two car accident involving ten passengers has left two people dead and eight others in the hospital.
It happened just east of Bath on the west bound lane of I-69 shortly before four a.m. Saturday.
Police believe a Cavalier carrying three passengers rear ended a Ford pick-up with seven people inside, causing the truck to lose control, roll several times down a steep embankment before hitting some trees. Several people, who police believe weren't wearing seat belts, were ejected from the truck.
The expressway was shut down for over five hours while emergency personnel tended to victims and processed the accident scene.
Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident. Police are still investigating the crash. There's no word on the current condition of the eight survivors.
